I'm out for a walk. Just a slow, steady, walk to get some of that stuff called air. Does a guy some good, really. I'm comin' to one of those graveyards when I turn a corner and find someone sitting outside it. Walking closer, the same girl who I yelled at, Taffy, comes into focus.
I take a deep breath, my hands finding a place inside my pockets as I come to a stop by the bench she's sitting on. Guess it's time to make amends. "Taffy?"
She's looking a bit baffled when I say her name. There she goes again, acting like she knows me. Guess I'll just go along, I just want to make this right. "Yeah, that's me. Though you seem like you already know that."
The wheels turn in my head, and my eyes never leave hers. Something's wrong here. The missing piece. Before I can even think about what I'm doing, my hand's reaching out to lightly grab hers. "I want to know." I have to.
I raise an eyebrow, nodding my head and thinking for a moment. A spell. Seems just as crazy as the future. But I have no idea why she'd lie. Doesn't seem like a nutcase to me. My eyes close and my mind takes me back to that day I first saw her, when I was drunk off my ass and screaming in her face...You're not anything...we were together...
My eyes open sharply and they meet hers again. Fuck, what'd I do?
