Even if that saner alternative, as I think you mentioned just a day or so ago, is "We won't try to persecute or prosecute you if you fight Islamofacism".
Have you heard anything about the Presidential Airways case that tried to introduce Sharia law in a U.S. federal court? I went news-hunting a few days ago but couldn't find anything that was dated after early August.

The "Young-Earther" part bothers me too. But at least she's (1) running for Vice President, not President, and (2) isn't trying to impose anything as obnoxious as shari'a.

For a start, the government controls the flow of money. You're telling me her influence would be even-handed?
From over here, it is flabberghasting that people who espouse such counter-rational views should be allowed anywhere near the centre of power, except under armed escort.

Ironic this should happen at a time when the USA, beacon of church/state divide is very likely to get an anti-science young earther as vice pres.
