Sounds quite likely. That's what happens when one lets foreigners, who hate one's country and everything it stands for, into one's country with full citizenship and let them set up ethnic enclaves in which the normal laws of the land don't apply.

What the French need to do is smash that de facto extra-legality. Get ready for trouble, then start enforcing French law, maybe with some "Immoral Marie" policewomen backed-up by armed riot cops. Round up the rioters, and throw the book at them -- deport any they can, tack on multiple consecutive sentences at those they can't. Offer leniency for informing on ringleaders. Kill those who resist.

It will take a while, but the French can take back their country. Without even going fascist. (What I'm advocating isn't fascism -- it's just enforcing their own laws on their own soil).

If the French don't do this soon, they will go fascist for real. At that point, the only question will be "Eurofascist or Islamofascist."

The Algerians probably thought nothing was going to happen to them in the late 18th-early 19th century, either. Then the French registered their discontent with centuries of abuse by marching in and taking over.

The generations which remembered the World Wars is dying out. France may yet awake again.

They killed cops this time. That might get a response from certain quarters.

Or not.

I'm hoping this catapults the Front National to power, with a mandate from the French people to begin cleaning house. The Front National isn't perfect -- but it's the best the French have to offer right now. Hollande sure can't handle this.

If it wasn't clear before to anyone with eyes and a brain that the only significant effect of gun control is to facilitate bad people preying on good people, the Islamic pep rally that's been going on in recent years should convince them it is a bad idea whose time has long gone. But gun control is people control, and as a rule, governments only give up control when you pry it from their cold, dead fingers. So I would be genuinely shocked to see any of the Western European nations allowing its citizens to arm themselves for defense legally. I would not be as surprised to hear of the people of those nations arming themselves for defense illegally.

The firearms laws may soon become irrelevant, especially as various militias acquire local political influence.

Hahaha no. Not in a country that's been disarmed for generations. And that candlelight vigil whose photos are everywhere is nothing but a bit of theater. No change will come of it. The Jihad will go on as scheduled.

France isn't as disarmed as you imagine. Nor are the French at all non-violent.

Hmm, that's a lot of "workplace violence". Wonder how long before Dear Leader gives some shout outs and hits the links.

One of the writers for the IDW MLP comics, Ted Anderson, has said some... interesting things on this topic. I read from one poster on the IDW forums that Anderson directly supported the attack, calling Charlie Hebdo bigots. I 'm sorry to say that I haven't checked this out myself (and the poster could be exaggerating), but here's Anderson's tumblr so you can check it out yourself: http://tedlyanderson.tumblr.com/

P.S. Tell me, are you aware of the drama surrounding Anderson that happened back in August?

It looked to me as if he didn't support the attacks -- but also didn't realize the threat they posed to us all. What did Anderson do in August?

Read these:

Ultimately, IDW Editor Bobby Curnow found that Anderson did nothing wrong and handled the matter by prohibiting fan OCs.

Edit And God does it feel petty bringing this up attached to this topic, but I thought you should know.

It clearly hasn't occurred to some fans that MLP:FIM could be seen as offensive to Islam on several counts: (1) feminism,(2) polytheism, and (3) the Pegasus connection. I wonder if I should make an issue of this?
