These Occupiers should be camped at every leftist university in the nation. Academe's ginormous tuition fees surpass all inflation rates. Occupy also needs to claim the bock around 1600 Pennsylvania Ave as public property devoted to a supreme Obamaville, a model of Marxism for the nation.

given the numer of them who were protesting student loans, they would have been doing it from day 1, if they could think.

which, come to think of it, would be another reason to protest their schools

Get this, at my school, the Faculty Association (read: teachers union) is 'fighting for our better educations' by demanding higher wages. They already get the mid-best in the state, and the Administration offered to give them BETTER health care and still arrange for more raises after this year, that they want to keep pay level because they already planned the budget.

However, a bunch of students are all up for supporting their FA because they buy this line of bull that our educational quality is tied to their wages, instead of our right to demand we get our $1000+ worth out of our classes. So, the very same people that complain about tuition, want their tuition to go up so the professors can drive nicer cars and drink better beer at the local pub when they 'talk intellectual'.

They're still students. It's when the loans hit them when they graduate that they get educated. If at all.

Time was when going to college meant living a lot closer to impoverished than most middle-class people would be in any other time of their lives.

I support the aspect of the Occupy UCBerkeley movement that has UCB students "striking" from their classes. I love it: They're upset about increases in fees -- I actually sympathize there -- so they ... don't go to the classes that they're now paying and borrowing more for?

It's like protesting gas price hikes by pouring gas you've bought down the sewer.

At least the law prevailed in New York. This was regardless of the OWS protesters, who protest corruption, corruptly pick a judge to hear their case, one they knew would vote for them. When it doesn't work that way.

Honestly, I say we should occupy the first judge's house. After all, she made it clear she is okay with squatters occupying privately owned land to express a political statement. She'd be all for that, right?
