I doubt that this is receiving much main stream media attention, but the Muslim Brotherhood this year officially endorsed jihad against America.

Slightly off topic but I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to post this, and it seemed in the general vein regarding being uninformed.

Take comfort. Our crack administration is on the ball.

First of all, it's absolutely hilarious (and horrifying) that a TV talking head knows more about what's going on in the war than does a US government official specifically charged with leadership in that war.

Secondly, I am underwhelmed with a sense of security at hearing that they are "in dialogue with the Muslim community" as part of their effort to detect terrorist attacks, given that the Muslim Brotherhood is behind most of the organizations with whom they are "in dialogue."

Thirdly, I suspect that they will still be "sleeping fast" when mushroom clouds start rising over our cities.

Okay...this was just frightening. Now I'm officially scared for America. We are so screwed!

Only if New England and New York become Canadian provinces, Chicago is integrated into Ontario, and Seattle is integrated into British Columbia.

I don't think that a candidate can win with only New York, California, Illinois, Washington and the New England states. I could be wrong, but that's simply not enough electoral votes.

I think you're underestimating Obama's unpopularity. He just might be able to beat Palin, because you might get enough people holding their noses and voting for him because they have been brainwashed to hate Palin, but I really doubt that Palin is seriously hated as much as Obama.

Why? Palin hasn't been in power, Obama has. And Obama's enraged his opposition's base while simultaneously alienating his own, a dangerous position for a politician to put himself.

Palin might actually do better against Obama than many potential opponents, because she wouldn't be afraid to go for him with teeth and claws, as opposed to soft-pedaling her attack because he's such a Nice Well-Spoken Black Man. She's not PC at all, bless her grizzly-bear heart.

This is what I said and this is your head. Whoosh.

(that's why we have to detatch ourselves from the uberconservative areas; if the country's going to elect someone as utterly vacuous as Palin, the least they could do is not let it affect us too much. And even better, Obama could make his last act to utterly disarm the US to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands)

This is SUCH a change of position for them, as we used to be on their "Most Favored Nation" list. :)

Next time someone starts whinging about how much money the US gives to Israel (the only democratic country int he Middle East!) - remember that the US gives an EQUAL amount of money to Egypt.

Personally, I'd like to pull all of Egypt's funding, give it to the IDF, and let them do what they do best.

I'd actually rather that Israel weren't as fettered by international opinion and constantly being held to impossible standards that none of her opponents are held to, honestly.

That would be the ideal situation, but that would require two very crucial things.

1. You would need a government that is not so greedy, and is willing to get off of the American teat and stand up for itself.

2. You would need the people to trust in G-d that they will be OK, and not to look to other countries to determine their fate.

Unfortunately, I don't think that either of these things is going to happen until Moshiach comes and sorts everyone out. In the meantime, we have Mossad!

Mossad! Which the Islamists believe send tiger sharks to eat Muslim Egyptians while the Mossad goes O.o? wat.

(seriously though, 'In the meantime, we have Mossad!' made me smile when NOTHING in this stress filled day could.)
