Which is why we're idiots to keep giving in to him. We'd do better laughing in his face.

Why anyone regards Kim Jong Il as sane, rational, and reasonable is a mystery, yet the Left continues to act as if that's the case -- and that America and South Korea have no good reason for preparing to deal with North Korea should it become necessary. Once upon a time, those on the Left had at least reasoned their way to some extent to their position. Now, however, most of them display not a sign of reason, logic, independent thinking, or anything close to these. Even as adults in the 40s, 50s, and 60s, they act and sound like clueless adolescents. It used to be that people tended to shift to the right in their politics as they got older, but that isn't happening with today's Left. I seriously wonder if most of them are literally brain-damaged, perhaps by environmental pollution, additives in junk food, too much Couch-Do and dependence on the mainstream media for what they know about the world, or other external toxins and stresses. I have a sneaking suspicion that if North Korea actually produced a nuclear missile...

the Left would instantly decide that it was All America's Fault, and insist we had to find a way to make up for whatever crime brought that about.

Oh, goodness, I have no doubt about that! After all, look what's happened with 9/11. Coming up on the 8th anniversary, and it's almost taken as conventional wisdom that, "Yeah, it was bad. BUT..." and then a list of our faults. Most people won't finish the sentence: "...but it was our own fault." But that's exactly the tone and the unspoken ending of it!

I know. I am beginning to believe that liberals and their fellow-travelers are all clinically insane.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if North Korea actually produced a nuclear missile that worked the way it was supposed to and aimed it at one or more of our great cities, giving us no warning, the Left would instantly decide that it was All America's Fault,

They proved this when Bush revealed NK was lying about their agreement with Carter/Clinton. The Left was outraged with Bush for calling out the lie.

If Obama (or another leftist anti-American) was not the President I would actually welcome NK firing a nuclear tipped missile at us. For it would give us an excuse to finally wipe them off the face of the planet as a Nation. ANd more than likely we would be more prepared for such an attack. Besides our missile defense systems we also have the capacity to disrupt the actual launch of such a missile through jamming technology. But, like history sadly shows, we will probably be fucked and end up having to suffer far more than we should.

I've already given my thoughts on what we should do.

The only thing I'll repeat is that we should pull our people out immediately.
