It reminds me a little of Nazi kitsch as seen in some Pacific Rim countries. That, however, is largely a product of ignorance: they aren't pro-Nazi but simply fail to understand the significance of the imagery in the USA and Europe.

The folks you cite, however, should know better.

How is that different from, say, dressing up as a skeleton or vampire on Halloween? Sometimes people dress up as them for fun without being supporters of the undead against the living.

The undead aren't real. The Nazis, and the equally-evil Hezbullah, are real. That's the difference.

I was especially amused by the "new Chechens" reference. Do you think that the Bechslan School Massacre was "kewl?"

Beslan. Chechens took over 1000 people, including over 750 children, hostage at a school. More than 300 people, including over 180 children, died there.
