It reminds me a little of Nazi kitsch as seen in some Pacific Rim countries. That, however, is largely a product of ignorance: they aren't pro-Nazi but simply fail to understand the significance of the imagery in the USA and Europe.
How is that different from, say, dressing up as a skeleton or vampire on Halloween? Sometimes people dress up as them for fun without being supporters of the undead against the living.
True. And I didn't see that reference, and never heard of Bechslan School. Google returns no results for "Bechslan School" besides that LJ entry; is it a misspelling of something else?
Beslan. Chechens took over 1000 people, including over 750 children, hostage at a school. More than 300 people, including over 180 children, died there.
