Technically, I did not finish my goal of completing my draft. I did, however, untangle and redirect a skewed plot, so I feel confident, now that I've corrected the road block that I didn't even realize WAS my road block, that I will finish this draft. And start to finish, I completed a NF side assignment for...gasp...$.
All in all, good progress.
Thanks everyone! Thanks, Jo!

I didn't reach my goal of finishing my draft, but I did finish NaNo at 50K+ and sent my novel off to Editor M for the first round of edits. I've hit a road block, but I'm hoping that once I get the draft back from her, she can help me figure out how to fix it. I also feel bad about my lack of posts this time around :(

My revised November goal was to participate in NaNoWriMo. I wrote 32,123 words. Even though I am not a "winner," I had a great time and I was able to write at least 1,000 words a day--even with my best friend's wedding weekend, Thanksgiving, house hunting, several out-of-state trips, hosting visiting family members and the daily challenges of raising an eleven month old. I would have loved to hit 50k, but I'm still really proud of myself and excited to continue writing "1k a day."

Thank you for all the support. :)

Good job, everyone!

Tricia, that's amazing! I'm so impressed you could still get all those words among the busy month. Great job!!!! And thanks for participating. :)

Wow - you made a lot of progress, especially given all the distractions. That is fantastic! Congrats. :)

Pride in yourself and excitement about writing! Better than hitting 50k, in my opinion.

Well, I failed spectacularly and didn't come anywhere near to finishing my draft. But we did (finally!) get the house addition finished and I wrote a short story. I have spent a lot of this time thinking about how to manage my time, how to structure my days so I can fit more writing in. I've also done a lot of scribbling notes so I know where I'm going next in the draft. I'm not sure it counts as progress, but at least I'm in the position to start making progress now. :D

Not a complete failure at all! Glad you're in a new position to make lots of progress. :)

I don't think that's a failure at all. Sometimes progress can't be measured by word counts.

I don't know how you can say you failed. Sounds like you've got a valuable work done. Now, just keep going! Good luck.

Congrats everyone!

I think I did it--or at least I'm really close!

I very nearly finished the first draft of my verse novel, and I have one chapter left in the revision of my MG Steampunk.

Hooray!
