Only a month to go? Gah!

From that you may guess that I'm rather behind on my targets. I had a few targets, the first of which was finishing the WIP, which I'm still on target to doing, but I don't think I'll make much dent in the others.

Good luck everyone!

Hang in there. You might surprise yourself. And finishing a WIP is pretty good itself.

Good luck, everyone!

I'm behind on my goal because I'm taking a writing course. (I've got homework!)

A writing course! Sounds like fun. Hope you get a lot out of it.

Writing courses are the best. I took one over the summer and will have plenty more next semester. Good luck with your goal and homework!

I posted on Jo's blog by mistake. The short version is that I've had a setback due to Hurricane Sandy, but I'm looking forward to getting back to work this week. I've got almost 35,000 words of my middle-grade novel done and just need to wrap it up.

Woohoo! Keep going! 35,000 is incredible. :)

Please stay safe. <3

Thanks. I'm safe, and I'm glad it's over for me. Lots of people had it much worse. I feel terrible for them.

I posted on Jo's blog too but will post it here as well.

I got to 30,000 words last night and feel so happy. I typically don't write very long novels, and I'm guessing this one will be somewhere around 40,000-50,000 words, so I'm at that point where I can see the finish line and have everything outlined and just want to write all. day. long.

I hope all you other JoNoers are doing well! Keep writing and smiling and loving.

After the last check-in I was derailed again--this time by a sick baby (cold-->bronchialitis-->ear infection-->bad reaction to antibiotics). Good news: Matilda's all better now and just in time for NaNoWriMo. I'm happily writing and off to a strong start, even with a weekend full of wedding festivities and out-of-state house hunting. I've attempted NaNo before and never finished, but this year I have an idea that I LOVE and I'm very optimistic. :) I hope everyone else is doing well!

Oh my gosh! That's a lot to deal with. Glad to hear Matilda is doing better and you are so excited about your idea. You can totally finish this year!
