One goal slightly surpassed, now let's keep this up!

So I'm feeling pretty out of shape these days.  I fell off my "diet" a while back, and haven't been very successful at getting back on.  However, my body has recently made it plain that I need to do this.  Not only that, but I need to get some darned exercise.

So, I decided this morning that I was going to walk up the first switchback of the M trail.  That was it.  I figured that  was an achievable goal and one that wouldn't leave me feeling overly sore and discouraged tomorrow.

Imagine my surprise when I got to the top of the first switchback and didn't feel all that bad. So I stretched my legs a bit and puttered on up to the top of the third before coming back down.

It's not much, I know.  But it's something.  It's a start.  Now, I have to convince myself to do it at least one more time this week.
