Which print publications do you buy on a regular basis?

Just before I left for PhilCon last weekend, the mailman delivered the latest issue of Space And Time magazine.

I get F&SF and Asimov's about once a year. They're both great - and both on my one day I'll be in that one' list :)

The GSHW covers sci-fi and fantasy too. Personally, I don't write horror, though I often evoke that emotion from my readers ;)

I think a lot of folks confuse horror with blood and guts and gore, which it's not. To me, horror is the suspense and a feeling of dread, like in the old Hammer House of Horror movies.

You're in the Liberty States Writers, right? So's my friend Gary Frank http://garyfrank.livejournal.com . He's a horror writer. He can explain it far better than I :)

I buy Acoustic Guitar and recently subscribed to it. I used to pick up UK Horse & Rider pretty often but I haven't for a few months.

I'm sure there's a Roy Rogers joke in there somewhere, but I can't think of one at the moment :)

I have subscribed for years to Writer's Digest & Creative Screenwriting. One to give me pointers on my writing and the other to give me pointers on my filmmaking. :)

There are a few more I would love to have but money would be the reason I do not get them. :)

I've bought Writer's Digest a few times (and picked up the occasional free copy at a con). They have some great writing tips.

* REALMS OF FANTASY

* THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION

* ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S MYSTERY MAGAZINE

It's been a bit lean here of late, however.

I keep meaning to pick up a copy of Hitchcock's Mystery. I've heard it's very good. Maybe I'll treat myself to one at Christmas.
