From working with the kids at the camp, I found the best tactic if they were giving me attitude was to just give them a firm hand. Yelling is only necessary when trying to get their attention when they're all running and playing outside. But I found that, most of the time, looking them in the eye (if they won't look you in the eye say their name loudly and firmly until they do) then just say something like "Please quiet down
