Experiments tasting alcoholic beverages. 1) Guiness. Found it bitter, but otherwise okay compared to 2) Sangria, which had a rather sharp flavor that didn't agree with me at all.

Beer (like all bitter foods) is an acquired taste. Guinness especially. For me Guinness is not really a "drinking" beer, but more a rare treat (to be enjoyed with ice cream or chocolate). Keep at it and you'll develop a taste for it.

Sangria-from-a-bottle is hit-or-miss, as sangria a cocktail with no set formula. Some brands are very sharp and wine-heavy, others are fruity to the point of being sickeningly sweet, and none of them are particularly great. If you're really interested, look up some recipes and create your own mix to your own taste. But if you don't like red wine, you're probably doomed from the start.

You might want to try Mike's Hard Lemonade, which I am ashamed to say I quite like :)
