Hello, and thank you for your kind words. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the novel so much. As for when the next two are out, the plan is to release one a year, at more or less a year apart. Thus, the second novel, "Johannes Cabal the Detective," should be out in Germany in September or October 2010, and the third novel in September or October 2011.

I just finished your novel last night - read it in one sitting and absolutely adored it. I'll be posting a review shortly - but it was honestly the most perfect book to read in preparation of Halloween. (:

Excited for the next one.

Hello,

Thanks for your note. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the novel, and I agree entirely about how nice it is to curl up with a suitable book as autumn deepens. This is usually the time of year that I start dipping into M.R. James short stories, reading them on and off from now until Christmas.

Thanks again, and my best wishes,
JLH

Hello! I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the novel. Yes, there should be several more Cabal novels, the next one of which is "Johannes Cabal the Detective," out in Germany in September or October, 2010 ( ... )

Ha, the meat is rotten, but the vodka is nice...Ok, not right, but at least funny :)
Yea. the translation...I mean normaly i prefer to read/watch the original version of something but when i see a good book, i want to have it, i don´t want to wait.
Damn you, impatience.
But i guess it must be even weirder to see your own stuff being translated..
Anyways, since i didn´t read the english version i can´t compare both but i can promise you that it was still very interesting to read and in my opinion there were no sections where it was obviously translated.)
(you know what i mean? for example when i watch a movie and the people in it talk english and i read the german subtitles..ugh, it hurts so much i want to cry^^)
