Wheee! Competition Time!

I announced a little give-away on Twitter the other day, but if you didn't see it there, I'll repeat it here.

Basically, I've received my hardback copies of The Fear Institute and I'm going to give one away -- personalised and signed -- to somebody chosen randomly from my followers list on Twitter. The only restriction really is that it has to go ( Read more... )

How exciting!

I'm looking forward to the new book. I've been bugging my friends to read this series and everyone who has picked up the first book has REALLY enjoyed it. I ran across a short story in an issue of "Weird Tales," I think, and enjoyed it enough to buy the book... which I received on the same day a friend of mine emailed me with "There's this book I think you'd really like, about a necromancer..."

It would have been in the late and lamented "H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror," but it was produced by WT's publishers. Out of interest, can you remember which story it was -- "Johannes Cabal and the Blustery Day" or "Exeunt Demon King"?

Yes, it was the Lovecraft magazine... my brother got me the Lovecraft Super Pack for Christmas, so I got a bunch of Lovecraft and WT mags. :)

It was "The Blustery Day," but I was excited to see, and then read, "Demon King" later (perhaps they were both in the set of magazines I got? Not sure.)

I'll just be over here, quietly crossing my fingers and sacrificing a goat to Lady Luck.

No hats, I'm afraid; just an inordinately long list. Bash together a Twitter account if you don't have one and follow me (@jonathanlhoward). You can always delete your account after the draw.

I agree with Astro here. :)

I'm also glad you announced this on LJ as well. I tend to only check Twitter about once every week or two.

LOL! They aren't unfeeling - they really feel the need for something FREE (as do I but I'm a fan, so it's different). I don't do twitter much but I am right now signing up to follow you - if I bail on you it just means I forgot my password (but I'll be here on LJ waiting for your words of wisdom - or whatever.
