Well. This hasn't happened in a long time. I just did a read-through and minor revisions of a novella I did for HQ (out in Feb) and OMG, I loved it

I love that feeling when I get it. Of course, at the moment I'm revising a book that, while I know I love it? I still want to throw it across the room from how much I've revised it. LOL
I think the premise sounds like an interesting one. I have trouble in my modern fiction trying to think of good careers or jobs for people to have, and to have an interesting set of jobs like the characters do is neat.
I'll tell you true, I don't think I'd ever read a Harlequin before I met you, and now I'm hanging out in the Harlequin shelves all the time browsing the goods and looking for your books. ;)
So sweet that you're willing to dip your toes into Harlequin! I never ask people to read my stuff - reading is such a personal choice. I hate it, though, when they're called trash or that kind of thing, because I'm quite the feminist when it comes to fiction that caters to women and means so much to so many. Not that I think all the books are marvelous, but it's become something of an accepted thing to make fun of them. (totally just hijacked this reply, sorry). But again, thank you

I have no idea whether anyone else will like the piece at all, let alone as much as I do, but that's out of my hands.
This. I know writing is about making other people happy--to a certain extent. But I'm so glad to hear that the belly-butterflies that make you love writing just because are alive and well. yay!
The letting go of the result wasn't easy to get to, honestly. I used to give a shit about reviews, but not any more. Awards? Yeah, I still want those. But tastes differ, and c'est la vie.
It's my goal, always, to find something to love in each book. It's hard enough to write them when you do find a real connection - without it is torture, and the end result shows it. But this one - this was special. Thanks for the yay!
How utterly awesome for you. You know, I've never read an HQ work, but I think I'm going to go find your stories. And I can't wait to read this one when it comes out.
