don't ever let anyone tell you that finding out you enjoy something boring/useful is bad! anybody who thinks that is setting themselves up for some gnarly winters should they ever wake up one morning and realise they never ever want to look at another tube of paint in their lives. it sounds bleak, but it's sort of great actually- i'm deeply entrenched in a good old quarter life crisis, and if i had a head for numbers my life would be that much easier and less, uh, vagrant.
anyway, what i mean to say is things could be worse?
some of the worst/best times ever, possibly. it's giving me some great incentive and material to start writing again, but i'll be really glad when it's over (like that ever happens).
How do you think I feel!? I've gone back to school to learn accounting! And the rub of it is: I'm the best accounting student at my school, but I don't get offers because recruiters can't look past my English degree!
Oh, dear! It should become your secret shame. Or perhaps you should mention that it has given you immensely good communicating abilities? That's what I always say about my degree.
