Wie lustig! Natuerlich hast du alle ganz bezaubert!

I'm glad that you survived the fires. I found myself in their midst last November (very late for fire season), and while I was flippant about my own danger, I was worried for my Australian cousins. Like yours, the local Brea/Chino fires were deliberately set.

As for the chemistry: "Flounder!" "Seething!" "Stumbling in a darkened hall!" Goodness, madam, your similes are all head and very little beer! At least I hope so. It would be a difficult class indeed which confounds you so.

That is entirely not fair, I insist you translate!

I was well away from the fires. They really do frighten me, but not when they are close to me. When they are close to me I am like a willing warrior and vow to fight the flames if I see them. Which is silly, really, I am bound to lose.

It is not a difficult class at all, that is what annoys me. The lessons are simple. It is just that there are so many of these simple things to remember all at once - it's a little overwhelming.

"How jolly/funny/silly/comedic! Naturally you have completely bedazzled them all!"

That sounds like all my accounting classes, wherein I must remember hundreds of very simple rules. Any single rule is simple and easy to learn, but they weave in and out compound upon each other.

I'm going to Death Valley! What do you think: http://www.nps.gov/deva/
