Nifty cover...

... and it's the anthology for ethnic Chinese SFF writers... but should the dragon be an Oriental dragon?: Dragon - no?.

I liked the cover at first, but went "No Chinese dragon?" when I thought about it further.

EDIT: Is "an Oriental dragon" "potentially offensive"? *blink*

Having seen both versions of the cover, the Westernised theme cover - the purple and black one - isn't anywhere near as attractive, nor thematic as the silver and blue cover (first one I saw). I don't see how an Oriental dragon could possibly be seen as offensive. That boggles the mind. Hmmm, keeping the silver/white and blue motif, an Oriental dragon made out of stars would be really cool.

Linked from here and I must say, WTF?! I tell you what, had I not been told that that book was filled with stories by Chinese writers, I'd have never known, judging by that cover due to the European dragon. What is this? Fail cover month? Granted, I might've picked it up anyway being a sucker for dragons in general, but still. :/

Yes, it was quite 'wtf'. The cover was quite inappropriate. :(

Seriously! And it's not like Chinese dragons are unfamiliar to people nowadays. Good Grief. *sighs*
