Lovely. I especially liked the UNIT conversation (cue the neck rub) and the Doctor's explanation of regeneration, also Jack not being a survivor and the Doctor thinking of him on Mars. There's a lot of fics with this theme on the spoon and elsewhere, but this is one of the better ones I've read because you bring new insight to the characters and their actions.

You've got a slight typo in part IV., paragraph 3: you used once instead of one.

I swear this was completely original when we wrote it; we started a few days after Ten's finale, then promptly dropped it and didn't get back to it 'til eight months later XD Anyway, so glad it's still original even though the reaction is so delayed. Both of us wanted to pay tribute to Ten and everything he meant, but we just weren't ready until now. It's a lot to process, isn't it?
