Beautiful. I especially love the 'Coward or killer?' scene, with your description of the alethiometer answering.
Masterful crossover, I adore all three of their daemons, and you have Lyra's post-trilogy characterization just right- what strength!
Great piece overall with some particularly stunning imagery :).

Happy ending! Woo-hoo! This really was a great fic. I loved the detail put into what each of the OT3's daemons would look like, and especially the surprise one for the Doctor. All the emotional interactions between the OT3 were also well written. Any chance of a sequel?

Yes, the story has a melancholy tone throughout, but I knew that the experience the OT3 had would change them profoundly and change the outcome of "The Parting of the Ways" for the better. Thanks for your words about the dæmons; I put a lot of thought into them.

I'm actually thinking about writing a prequel, since in this story Jack knows about the Time War, while canon!Jack does not (in PotW he says to the Doctor "I thought that was just a legend.") I think I ought to explain why and how Jack knows about it here.

You have done well; done more than well. This is a marvelous story, from start to finish. It is dense, and rich, gorgeous, intimate, and emotionally glorious.

This is absolutely lovely, and a perfect ending for the story. I love how you fitted in the letter from Lyra and the scenes at the game station.

Thank you! I actually got the idea from spiralstarfall who used a similar framing device in her writing. I realized that Lyra's letter would be the perfect frame for my version of Parting of the Ways.
