I got here via calufrax and then Teaspoon. I don't have a Teaspoon account so I thought I'd comment here---I love love love love your clever combination of the two stories and I think the way you did it was very effective. The entire series was quite entertaining and I quite loved it so thank you!

This chapter is breathtaking. Jack being the one who figures it out, and still doubting that he has the right to participate, and then being drawn in... The doctor's fear and pain, breached so gently by Rose's love and trust... Not to mention the incredibly vivid descriptions.

It's strange how well the symbology of HDM maps onto Doctor Who. They share a sensibility, deep down.
