Well, you can. The point I was trying to communicate in the second chapter (via the Doctor) is that it's all a matter of mental construction; if you want to cordon off a section of your mind, give it a voice, a personality, and a settled form, well then you can. I'm loving the interactions with the daemons, it's just gorgeous, and your characters are absolutely pitch-perfect. You've really got what makes crossovers so wonderful, their worlds are blending seamlessly. This is such a great story!

p.s, what kind of otter is Rose's, river or ocean? And what kind of lion is Jack's? African, Asiatic, or American? The animal-geek in me needs to know!

Oh, you're an animal geek too? I'm so thrilled! I hope you read this comment, in which I explained why I chose the animals I did.

I'm going to say African lion, since Asiatic lions are less social than African lions, and there's not enough information about the behavior of American lions to analyze them properly in any case.

River otter for Rose, definitely. Sea otters are highly territorial, which doesn't fit well in my opinion. The Doctor's the territorial one, heh.
