This was last year news. I think it'll be fine. Batman is a character that goes through constant evolution. When they tell us they don't want to tell another Joker story, that's fine by me.

but I still miss Brave and the Bold.

I've seen things about it here and there over the past year. I'm not so upset about the lack of Joker stories, cuz I rather think it's difficult to top what's been done. I'm more upset about replacing Robin with Katana as it seems to me they're doing. But you know me, I'll give it a go.
