I just watched The Lost Boys and was gripped with yet another of my urgent desires to write fic. This time a Supernatural AU which is basically the plot of The Lost Boys but happening to the Winchesters. Not a crossover. Oh no. I want David turning Dean into a "half-vampire" (and doing dirty hilarious 80s mullet sex with him). I want Sam being ( Read more... )

fic ideas, the lost boys, being human, supernatural (pretty boys; hot car)

The Lost Boys was a funny film - from the era when film soundtracks had become a saleable entity in themselves rather than merely being incidental music.

I loved the soundtrack. But then, I am a child of the 80s! :D

George and Mitchell are so doing it all over the house and I'm sure Annie would enjoy the show. Now I'm wondering that touch thing...She can make tea so she can touch something, but I don't know if she can touch George or Mitchell.

There has been touching/hugging etc in the show, but I just wonder how much of it is felt. Which makes it possibly interesting to write. Hmm.

I like that. Sam would so be protective of his brother, and Dean would get drawn in by David, then freak out. And Dean having a rebellious stretch which resulted into him being nearly turned into a vampire makes so much sense.

Also Sam is the nerdy one, reading comics, getting a bit carried away and being overly dramatic.

This is not at all an excuse to draw (well, write obviously) Dean with a mullet and single 80s earring. Oh no. ;)

A Supernatural/Lost Boys fusion would be so, so perfect. You could maybe make Ash a Frog brother? Or there were those "ghost facers" dudes.

I think you could do neat things with Annie's intangibility, especially since it seems to be a matter of dramatic convenience anyway . . . George hugs her all the time, when her poltergeistiness kicks in she can move things even without touching them, when Mitchell accidentally kissed her he said it felt cold, when Tully grabbed her arm he added "squishy" . . . They make an exquisite OT3.

Oh! I saw a guy on the bus yesterday who looked like Russell Tovey, at least in the face region, and it made me wonder: if his face-double is riding transit in Toronto, maybe his bum-double is somewhere in Melbourne? Food for thought.

OMG. Ash and Andy as the Frog brothers!! Eeeep! That's perfect. The ghost facers dudes might be better suited, but my love for Ash and Andy (and for pairing them up) cannot be defeated by such trivialities! Also, Ash has the decade appropriate mullet! :D

I did notice that Annie got a lot of hugs or arms around shoulder squeezes, etc, during the show. So it wasn't clear, really, how tangible or otherwise she was. I like the idea of her participating by moving certain things! I love the OT3 they have going on. :)

I have yet to see Russel Tovey's bum double in Melbourne. Unfortunately one does not often see bare bums when out and about here, more's the pity.

sigh. it's too bad (or maybe lucky?) for you that I'm not into SPN. coz I'm all about the 80s crossovers. You'd have no hope of me getting rid of the coreys tho. nahuh. oh wellz, you may have to write it yourself.

You could try watching Supernatural. I have the first 2 seasons on dvd if you want to borrow them. Not that I'm trying to influence you or anything... oh no! ;)
