death awaits us all! but first: a poll

I was riding home IN THE RAIN and a taxi opened it's door INTO THE BIKE LANE, ABOUT 1 METRE IN FRONT OF WHERE I WAS RIDING. So, by instinct, I swerved - into the edge of the car lane. This is on a major and fairly busy road. So I'm pretty glad there wasn't a car there, because I might well have gone ka-splat! and I do not want to go ka-splat!, at ( Read more... )

I wrote something but it made an ERROR.

I wanted to tell you to please wear more lycra. In a shade of white. And then go and play in the rain :D

Actually, I do have to wear a white top (or tops) for work, but I had about a kazillion layers on (because it is this thing called 'winter' here now. i don't think you have it in Qld!) so it probably wouldn't have gone see-through. Also, I has a rain-coat.

IF YOU WANT TO SEE MY BREASTS, YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK. OK?

Vehicle drivers are shockingly bad like that.

I've had a bus try to mow me down while we were all waiting at a junction. It suddenly decided it was going to turn left (against the red light) by driving over both me and the pavement. Fortunately I saw it coming (with either my exceptional peripheral vision or spider-senses or whatever) and somehow managed to hop just in time, with bike in tow, under cover of a shop with a solid concrete pillar and upper storey overhang. Since this particular bus driver apparently only drove over pavements and cyclists and not through concrete pillars to knock down shops, I was shaken but not crunched.

The police tried to run over me too - as a pedestrian rather than a cyclist though.

oh that sounds nasty. i have had a few "whoa that truck was close" moments but this was the first "fuck, that could have been--"!

The police tried to run over me too - as a pedestrian rather than a cyclist though. Ah well, but aren't the police entitled to do that, but only to pedestrians?! ;-)

So do you also drive? I really should do that poll - about TGSers and what proportion of us do or do not/can or cannot drive. :)

I can drive (learning and getting the test + licence out of the way was the quickest way to shut my parents up on the topic!) but choose not to do so. I'm not a car person.

maybe there will be clue as to his man-loving ways here at the collection of his insults.

i now have a hankering for an icon of him with the guy who played him, as per last night! lydia-petze reckons her pal is going to upload it, so maybe we can download and then watch it again and then icon away. how does that sound to you?

Argh - the bike incident sounds horrid, particularly that you had to stop singing your little song. Poor, poor you!!

Glad to hear your still kicking. The sad thing is, my PM seems like an even bigger wanker when compared to Keating. You can have him if you like; maybe he will get eaten by something. *lives in hope* Also- 15 % GST?! :o

But you must remember that all politicians are wankers. Keating was just funny and insulting and called things as he saw them - hence wasn't that popular, by the end of his career, hence being voted out. Our current PM is ever-so-slightly boring, but is a massive improvement on the previous one - who was fucking evil and oh how i hated him! er, anyway...

we have GST now. maybe 10%? i don't know. *shrug*

*hugs you* *is clingy and hopefully not TOO random*
