I have discovered the mulleted guy I have a crush on the character I want to TAP INTO NEXT WEEK from Diesel Sweeties (as seen, eg: here) is not called Ash (as I called him - all mulleted men being the same) but is known as Metal Steve. This is OK. I can live with this.

I think the people who're posting in something other than default text aren't usually doing it on purpose - at least I hope it's naivety rather than "Hey! It'd be cool if the story was in comic sans! That's the coolest font!!" - but 'cause they've written it in word and then dumped it right into rich text without thinking.

The formatting goes around the content, However, I'm not a pro for this stuff, and I think it needs to go around each line that you want formatted, rather than just at the start and end of the post.

Though that might be wrong.

There should be something in the FAQ about this stuff, but I can't find it easy. P'raps there're LJ comms to help with this stuff. There must be ones which teach you CSS, at least.
