my cat uses the system we all use in this country because we are a forward country and move with the times! when customers ask for stuff in pounds, i smack them upside the head and tell them to get with program and use terminology that a young whipper-snapper like me can understand. either than, or I look at them blankly and say "half a pound, is that..." then i go and cut them a random amount of whatever it is they've asked for. that'll learn them. your precious fruitcake recipe from the middle ages will be ruined by my stubborn misunderstanding to interpret your requestion into something I can accurately estimate! haHA! the fools

Our cats have developed their own system of weights and measures called the meowtric system. Everything is based on mouse-weight and lizard-length.
I don't think Man meant Australia looked like America, it just looks like what he's always seen, which is America. :) Millions of miles away... still kinda similar.
Wait, Sydney has an opera house? Dude! ;p Yeah, I think the two images we get of Australia in America are the Sydney opera house and sort of flat yellow ground covered in kangaroos. That's why I asked for pictures of just your Australia. When I go somewhere new, I like to pretend I live there and just do the normal stuff, like go to the store, because even that stuff just looks so foreign while still looking so familiar.
actually, the busker was pretty funny. i reckon he'd done karaoke and thought he was good, so took his show to the street. he had a cd player with proper karaoke cds and everything (ie. backings tracks without the main vocals), plus the music stand so he'd get the words right. he'd put in effort. also, he's a welcome change from christopher, who is the busker i HATE! :P
