I like the impulsive decision to make a run for it. "This was the stupidest thing he'd ever done." Great internal dialogue!!! Also, I love Hannibal's line after their first kiss. (And that sounds way too romantic for what it was. . . LOL!!!) "damn kid, when was the last time you brushed your teeth?" It is a double cliffhanger!!! First, what are the consequences of Temp's decision to try and run? Second, when is the last time Temp brushed his teeth? Is dental hygiene part of the Geneva Convention (of Hogan's Heroes) fame? Does the army make sure soldiers in the jungle on secret maneuvers brush after every meal? Inquiring minds want to know. Great touch of humor. You demonstrate a deft touch. Brava!!! (I have always assumed you are female.)
