What's funny to me is that most poetry slam folk are city folk, but Slam itself, especially in the internet age, functions as a really small town

Don't forget those out-of-towners that are always popping in. We look at them sideways not certain of their motives. Will they be an asset to the community or just use us and run away? And why do they think they know everything, never consulting us beer nursers?
