Hey, thanks to the doctors for getting that knife out. Lemme know if there's something I can do to help--uh, once this heals all the way. I know I left a little early, but it'll be fine as long as I keep it clean, right? Still hurts like crazy, though.Anyone wants to come over, knock first. Hilda and me fixed up the lock a bit. Killer, don't ( Read more... )

[Well, since they're both on the first floor, it's not much of a walk. He's brought one of the scarves he scrounged with him.

Knock knock.]

... It's Mello.

[And that's really all he wanted to know on the topic, for the moment.] Funny how things change with a change of scenery.

[transitioning into the next topic; he's brought the article given to him by the Donald Duck himself] Oh, yeah. Was told you might know something about this.

OOC || Product of this thread. XD

Mm...[he's looking at the article, and nods when he recognizes it.] Donald found it in that one house in Accido. What about it?

[Running his hands absently over the edges of the article] From what I hear, there were never records made of this trip? Donald... told me you had more info.

Not sure anyone wrote it down. It wasn't that long ago, though--and I've got pictures. [he's up and away, looking through some stuff near his bed.]

[Pictures are good; he waits patiently, still against the wall and going over the rest of his questions, sorting them.] How much do you remember?

The first night we stayed in a rundown hotel. It's kinda funny, actually--what I remember most about it are little details. Some of the stuff was a mess, other rooms looked like they hadn't been touched. The beds were pretty nice. [...except this probably isn't what Mello was interested in, so he moves on ( ... )

[Well, at least he got down to business instead of reminiscing for hours. Mello's been playing with the communicator, so he uses the video function to capture rough images of the pictures, carefully turning over the more gruesome ones with no change in expression except a narrowing of the eyes.] Not surprising. He was a scientist. [There's a sardonic drawl to the word.]

[Looks up at the mention of an additional picture.] That's a pretty good summary--think you'd mind writing it down along with the frequencies and names of everyone on the expedition? No need to do it right away-- [Gathers the pictures back up and hands them to him.] --but I am going to need Pan's frequency and physical description now.

Also, [Looking back down at his article.] according to Donald, the subway tunnels are now blocked off, but he didn't mention what by.

[Johnny shrugs.] I haven't gone down to the subway tunnels since--been a little more worried with things here. There was some kinda earthquake one morning...it wasn't big enough to do any damage up here, but maybe it caused a collapse below?

Pan's 14, looks younger--don't tell her I said that. She's pretty built, since she's a martial artist. Short hair. Her frequency is panofbread. She's Japanese, so unless you know the language you'd better use text to get in touch with her.

...Maybe I'll ask Hilda to type the summary. [he hates typing with one hand. >/]

... I remember the quake. But that was... [Not that long ago. He'll have to check with Donald again, since it seems like Johnny doesn't know much more than the duck did.]

--Isn't she the one who was hauled off to the clinic kicking and screaming a little while ago?

[Amused look.] You could always use the voice function.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the right girl.

Oh. ...Well, you said write it down.

Whatever works. [Shrugs; if it's recorded by voice, he'll transcribe it himself.]

Oh. All right, then. I'll try to see if I can remember anything else and record it.

[And that's pretty much everything he came here for. It's getting pretty late, so he begins to move toward the door.] Good. Thanks; good information's hard to come by.

I'll let you call it a night; watch the hand.

[And then a bemused look at the doorknob he just turned.] You might want a better lock, too. [Given the nature of the city and the fact that he can analyze, jiggle, pick and dissect damn near any lock you throw at him, it's a bit of a moot point, in a sense--but the human psyche's a funny thing.]
