You don't know how much that lifts my sagging spirits. I wish to get beyond just surface writing one of these good ol' days, but so many other life elements are making that difficult ( Read more... )

Ugh! We had problems with our bank cards a few years back. We happened to be on vacation. It was lucky that we had cash on us because the girl on the phone just kept saying we had to go into a branch to clear this up. Did I mention it was a Sunday on a long weekend?

Yeah, that's really annoying. I always check my account everyday because I'm afraid of that very thing, but I guess it can't always be noticed in that way. Some people are underhanded and skilled at what they do. Blah!

If it's autism you're working on, check out Temple Grandin. That's a person not a book title--though they did make a movie about her.
Her webpage:

Hope the coming weeks are kinder to you! :-)

Man, what a week you had. Thankfully you are getting a new bank card but yeah, talk about a drag to get it fixed.

Hope that things improve really soon.

John, I cannot tell you how fabulous, wonderful and mind blowing Born on a Blue Day is. Oddly enough, though I understand why you have some concerns about the NLS narrator, he does a superb job. I'm sure Bookshare also has it if you want to try to read it in Braille, but truly, once you get drawn into the story, Blue Day is amazing. Utterly amazing, and I would think you'd not give a care who the narrator is once you start, it is that good.

Smiles Ok, we shall see. Admittedly, I'd only heard the very beginning. Plan to start it once I finish what I'm currently reading. Thanks.
