Reasons To Smile

I can't actually remember the last time I wrote to you. Assuming, of course, that you actually read this thing anymore. Most of that is due to one inescapable fact: my life rolls on in the same way that it has for months now. It feels kind of like I'm standing on a beach as each huge wave pounds the shore, clinging to the board of sanity that ( Read more... )

Hey, John,

I know I don't comment much, but I do enjoy reading your journal entries, and it's great to know you'll try to update on a daily basis. It was definitely nice of that person to do that for you.

Thanks for reading! I do truly appreciate stuff like that, and am thus reminded to pay it forward in some way.

That was nice of that person to give you a paid account. Someone anonymously gave me 2 months earlier this year and I LOVED not having those annoying ads, especially since they take up the whole screen. Every so often I contemplate buying a paid account for myself.

Your cousin that you mentioned in your post, is he the one who's marrying Ana?

Yeah I'm hoping that by the time this account runs out, I might be able to afford to upgrade. lol We shall see on that.

And no, wrong one. lol

I figured that was the wrong cousin because I read his entry and he didn't mention her in it lol

Wow, that would b great if you were able to stay where you are. Good news about your courses for the fall. Having a paid account is awesome. Yes you can do voice posts. So post away.

Yeah, I'd kinda like to stay here. But I really do need to make sure I am going to get some help; can't live stressed out like that either. I'll ask if I can work in that office even! lol

And I'll make a voice post soon. I might record somewhere where I can be heard clearly. I wish LJ would create such a site.

I still read! Yay for paid accounts - it'll be lovely to see you more active in these parts. Mind, yesterday I posted to my blogger account for the first time in three months and I don't have half the excuse you do, so I completely understand not posting.

I thought about going to Blogger, just because I'd like to see what kind of readership I get. I wonder if more people read there than on LJ? Thanks for sticking around, in any event.

I actually came from Blogger to LJ. I think Blogger has a much nicer look to it, but the networking aspect is a lot smaller than LJ. I use it to keep in touch with people from home and a lot of the time it felt like I was talking to myself whereas here you almost always get feedback. And then when people do leave comments, they're just listed in the order they're posted rather than, as LJ does it, showing comments and replies. Plus the privacy options are a lot more limited on Blogger - it's either everything password protected or nothing.

I've found that I get a lot more out of LJ. My blog's very neglected these days but even when I was posting almost daily there, I never got the same kind of interaction.

Ah, I kinda figured that. Obviously, it doesn't really matter how it looks to me. lol

Thanks. It's nice to have people who care enough to read, too.
