I normally don't like rain, but for some reason it was actually fun this time. Lifted my spirits running under the warm drops. We've gotten lots this year! I guess it's cyclical like that, drenching sometimes and dry as a bone at others.

Glad you made it to the store and back safely.... sounds like a dire mission indeed. I go to great lengths for junk food when the mood strikes me, hehe.

Yeah, well I've come to accept that there are differences, even though I can't see them of course. My thing is that we don't have to fight and dislike each other because of them. In fact, they should be a cause for celebration! As with anything, variety is the spice of life. I enjoy taking in snippets from all sorts of cultures.

I've not read anything else by this individual, but the book seems pretty good thus far. My only annoyance is the way its written (i.e.) its perspective. "I tell her I will do this later. She says ok, and we walk out of the house." That annoys me! I can overlook it only if it's a fantastic story.

The only way second person works in my opinion is those choose your own adventure books we read as kids. Those were kind of fun, because they engage you in the story such that you feel your decisions have consequences. Other than that though, I couldn't imagine myself getting into that kind of book.
