John & Harry Potter?

I'm sure non HP fans won't care but I saw a posting over on John's profile on imdb.com about 'what if' John was in either of the next two movies

Younger Dumbledore? Not like Deathly Hallows young, but Half Blood Prince young? He looks good with long hair.

yea. I was thinking that too. It was mentioned on imdb.com

so was Grindelwald. I think that would be really perfect for John. Playing Grindelwald in the flashbacks. He could pull that off brilliantly.

Tennant was so great at Crouch Jr. It wasn't a huge part but was important to the plot..so is Grindelwald in Deathly Hallows.

Going on the fact that spoilers has been announced:

I reckon he could play Harry Potter as an adult. Perfect casting.

I considered that too, but I don't think that would be meaty enough. Playing the older Harry is not a big scene. That is if they even do it for the movie. and he wouldn't have much to work with.

Playing Grindelwald he would. He could do wonders with that little part like Tennant did with Crouch. A smaller role, important to the plot that has personality.

I'm a bit strange and would like him to play Fenrir, but I have a feeling they might cut him out of the movies.

ooooooooooo. I hadn't considered him. That's a good one. But you're probably right about cutting Fenrir. Which is a bummer really.

I would say Grindelwald but I think he's a bit too (can't believ I'm saying this)...old ^^;

Maybe one of the deatheaters? He does evil quite well.

Yes, because Grindelwald was about what, 17-18 when he was friends with Dumbledore?

But yes, I was talking about this with a friend and the only character we could think about was 'random death eater'.
