There's this Live Earth video called 'Polar Bear Man' starring Lee Pace (of Pushing Daisies) & I at first, I thought the narrator was John Simm. As I watched it the second time, it didn't sound like him, but towards the end with the narrator becomes more prominent, it sounded a little like John ( Read more... )

Ohh you're right! Right in the beginning it sounds much like John oO
And when the video nears 3 minutes, I had the feeling that I heard his voice again.

But this video is really well made. I loved it.

he's not credited for it at the imdb, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. i can't seem to access the video myself, so i can't comment directly...but according to this interview, there's apparently a simm sound-a-like out there making loads of money off his ability to emulate our boy, much to the chagrin of the genuine article. apparently simm's own dad can't even tell the difference...so if you're mistaken, you're in very good company. :)

I couldn't find the imdb page for that short. & That's a bummer you can't watch the video, it's beautifully shot & well done. If you'd like to see it, search for 'Polar bear man live earth'. It may come up on MSN.
& I remember reading that interview a while back & I didn't even think of that.

It sounded a bit like him, but the music was so load and I hardly herad the voice over.
I remember seeing this when the Live Earth was on. I don't think I knew either of them then. (:

It'a a great video, but I'm pretty sure it's not him. The narrator has a Southern accent, as opposed to John's Northern accent, it just doesn't sound like him. However I can hear a similarity in the tone of the voice - I think it has a similair pitch and softness. He's probably an actor (if he is an actor?) of a similar age to John.
