My first intro to your journal and I get slammed in the face with a cat. It actually shocked me. LOL. And that cat DOES look like Brimley...

You could always quote from his character in Cocoon: Ben Luckett: [getting in the shower with Mary] Want a piece of candy, little girl?

He's a fine actor and has been in lots of things, but for the life of me I can only think of the Liberty Medical commercials.

If I was Mary, I would not trim your moustache and let your beard grow and you could go join ZZ Top!

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I had a beard once. It was not very good, and it was heck to take care of, so I shaved it off. Maybe I should wax my mustache like Rollie Fingers used to.

When I went and visited my friend Donnie, in Arlington Texas, she wanted to go looking at nylon stringed guitars. She knew she wanted to try a Taylor, and the closest place to get one was Weatherford, Texas. It was a very cute music store and the 'acoustic room' was in the back. The gentleman in residence looked like Wilford Brimley.

I talked him into playing "Letter from a Friend (Why do you ride for your money)". At that time, Mr. Brimley was doing Quaker Oatmeal commercials.

It was rather delightful, actually. Thanks for reminding me.

Every guitar store I've been to in the last 40 years has a guy who looks like Wilford Brimley working in the acoustic room. It's uncanny.

He said 'When I was performing I had 14 guitars. Now I only have 10. YOu can never have too many acoustic guitars.'

which of course led to the 'Maybe you'd play something for us' request.

Maybe they're all related, hm?

Even better: Maybe they're all the same guy.
