Today is the birthday of Dale Murphy, who played for the Atlanta Braves from 1976-1990 and ended his career with a .265 BA, 398 HR, 1266 RBI and an .815 OPS. The Braves retired #3 in his honor. He's 52 today. Happy birthday, Murph!

Back when I was regularly attending Syracuse Chiefs games, the Richmond Braves used to be regular foes. I saw quite a few people play in the AAA clubs who later became 'big names' and some who were not so big.

I loved baseball, then.
