I was glad to read this, jbc. I think I'm in favor of even ineffective action, sometimes, though I didn't want to be of limited mobility downtown last night. Sometimes, even when ineffective action can't realistically be taken, I am even in favor of Paul Nizan's championing of just the refusal, the saying NO.
