What indeed? It makes perfect sense, of course, Two not having an iron to begin with... ;D Nice one - I enjoyed all of the others too, especially the Clyde/Rani one.
Could be worse - I dread to think what Eleven would come up with, given a similar task. ("And this bit detects the Eater of Socks at ten yards' range. Seriously, how cool is that?")
Aw, these are great! :-) (Although, surely - heaven forbid - the last one doesn't mean that Zoe got left behind on the Wheel?)
Also... we don't actually know that Lady Dark wasn't just out on, say, a shopping trip that day in Dark Towers. (I can't believe you wrote that.)
On the other point... I think Edward's backstory would have to include the loss of his mother (whether to consumption or merely divorce) - Dark Towers uses enough Gothic novel tropes to make it inevitable. And Miss Hawk is too good to waste as an Evil Stepmother.
But you are assuming that some sort of logic applies to Dark Towers, and I wouldn't be so sure. Although, to be fair, there is the sort of feeling that Lady Dark can't have been around for a while. The Friendly Ghost probably hid her somewhere and left a crossword clue lying about, which Lord Dark threw away all unknowing, and it was before Edward had learned to read long words...
All brilliant, although I had to look up Lord Dark and Miss Hawk. (And was then astounded that there was a quite exciting-sounding 1980s Look & Read that I don't seem to recall at all.)
