Here's another spiral for my SpiralHeart peeps. I drew this in St. Louis in 1980. It was my first finished work that used the spiral/radial mandala which only this year I found out resembles Hunab Ku.
Ooooh wow, that is really awesome, I love the details especially the middle there of the spiral thingy, looks almost like something Escher would do. I love these sort of combination abstract-detailed designs, especially with lots of bright primary colors. So I think this would look really amazing colored.
If you have a tablet, you could color it digitally. That way you wouldn't have to make marks on the original if you were wanting to just leave it as is. Have you thought about a deviantART account? Even if you don't produce much art, it's still a cool place to stick what you do have.
Ah, I'm so old school: just ink and paint on paper and canvas. Although I have no problem with high tech in other areas, digital art baffles me; it introduces a whole new world of techniques to learn, like starting from scratch all over again. I want to make more art--if I can find the time--and if I do, then it will go up at dA someday. Thanks for the encouragement and advice!
