  • Wild rice with summer squash and dried blueberries
  • Shawnee cakes herbed with ramps
  • Sapan (plain cornmeal mush)
  • and for dessert: fresh blueberries.

Quite a bit better these days. Busy because I've been getting lots of work lately. I was "onboarded" (not hired, onboarded-I guess they used a different term because this isn't "real" "employment" or whatever) last month and it's been a blessing.

My MiL died last month at the grand age of 92 and things have been a bit manic what with having to clear the house up in Scotland and deal with her affairs, made all the more difficult by the distance concerned and two different legal systems, but we're getting there!
