Jennie Bobb of the Lenni Lenape nation (also known as the Delawares) has now had her picture used for a poster promoting a campaign of resistance. The slogan "Occupy Wall Street" now reads "Take Back Wall Street: Occupied Since 1625." The Lenni Lenape were the indigenous people of New York City.

I'm puzzled by the message behind the slogan - are they saying to kick all the non-Natives out? Return "ownership" to the Lenni Lenape? And if the people who made this didn't get permission from her descendants, doesn't that rather fly in the face of their message here?

Our local Trots have a poster up on the theme of 'for evil to succeed it is only necessary for good men [sic] to do nothing' with a picture of heaps of Jewish Kz victims.

I found myself thinking- those could be the relatives I never knew and can never find out about- I don't even know which camp or ghetto they died in. Anyone ask their relatives for permission? :o(

I saw her as an autonomous woman making a good point. But I'm kind of weird that way.
