Annie is Patience's eighth child and fourth daughter. In this excerpt she's 13. Her oldest sister Mary is 25.

Annie McGuire is my great-great-great-grandmother.

When Annie grew up, she had a daughter named Bridget McDermitt, who married Black Mike Wills, the great-grandson of Sarah Collins, in 1862. Bridget and Black Mike were my grandmother's grandparents. Annie's son Michael McDermitt gave his life for his country at Antietam in 1862.

Annie, Patty, Mark, Johnny, Bridget, Mary, Bart, and Mike are all Patience's children. Mary, here at age 25, is the firstborn.
