A deep-pink, very juicy, very sweet variety of apple. The original cultivar was, I think, developed on the slopes of Mt. Fuji. When they first hit the world market in the '90s that was the only grower. I remember seeing them in a grocery for twelve dollars apiece. They were that expensive in Malaysia too when I was there back then. Then American apple growers began growing them and the price came down.
