Your thoughts please

Ok, we have two potential girl names that we actually both like! I didn't think it was going to be possible.

They are Delaney and Whitney.

What are your thoughts? Ideas for middle names?

Probably not...I'm not a big nickname person. A lot of people would probably end up calling her that though.

How are you?

I'm feeling good...we would love to see you too! Brooke is very pretty. I'm just trying to go with something a little longer because Sheridan already has a complex about her name being too many letters and syllables. I'm afraid she would be jealous! :)

Warning, people who study names consider names like Tiffany, and Whitney to denote parents wanting to sound wealthy (i.e. The Whitneys, Tiffany & Co.). Not that you guys are at all like that, but just a thought on how people percieve the names.

I wrote this on your other entry, but what about Lane Taylor? Lane Olivia Taylor?
Iris, Fern, Grace, Lauren?

I love Lauren.
But not Faulk, Lauren Cole sounds pretty, like Lauren Bush. ;-)

Thanks. I think we are decided on Whitney for a first name. Delaney would always get shortened to "Laney," which is my cousin's nickname (for Alaina). Plus I don't like the 2 Long A's in Delaney with Taylor. That's the same reason I'm not crazy about Lane with Taylor.

We don't have a middle name yet, but I'm thinking probably something one-syllable. We could play around with her initials and make them WAT or WET...haha.

Thanks. I think it's very cute, but now we are sorta leaning more towards Whitney because I don't like how Delaney would sound with our last name.

I just looked up these names...
Delaney means Enemy's Child
Whitney means White Island
Griffin means Mythological Beast

Very funny considering Sheridan's name means Wild One...
