My Dr (who could not be farther from any sort of specialist if he wanted to be) has been AMAZINGLY patient with me, and has been learning about it all as I have. I was lucky enough to be part of a Pfizer-funded study with Gabapentin being used as a sleep-aid. It was then that I noticed how well it helped my nerves ache less. He made me wait for the study results to be published, and then he was willing to prescribe it to me for both help with sleep and help with the nerve pain. I'm his first patient with fibro (or who knew they had it ( ... )

I understand the whole major stress causing a flare...last december a dear friend of mine died suddenly...she has severe ME, she was bedbound, tube fed, paralysed and couldn't speak...her mother help her kill herself after 17 years of being like that and the government has now said she should be charged with attempted murder...trial is probably going to be before the anniversary of Jessie's death. Shortly following that, another friend died of a mitrocondrial disorder that should have killed her years before, and then in January a friend of mine died from type one brittle asthma - which is considered terminal and I also have that. I flared big time during my time of grieving ( ... )
