Wèll... wê ròw ãt 6:45, whïch mêâns ðæt no one gets our paddles after we do... but you make a good point. Mostly, I'm just worried they're going to find out åbout our super-secret poly-carbonite këël.
wow, I had no idea that the Dapper Dans had such a history with Disney! Did you see the pictures I posted?
also- is it just me or did they speed up and/or add more cars to some rides (like haunted mansion)? It seems like the lines went much faster, as did the rides. It might just be in my head though...
Indeed I did, just catching up with oodles of online goodness now, as a matter of fact. Thanks for posting them, I really like the effect you achieved with that lens.
Not sure what they've done lately, but I know that when I was in operations, every effort was made to increase the hourly count... capacity is key. If you want some technical details, I'll tell you about a system The Dad™ developed (he was a foreman there for many, many years) on the Submarine Voyage... they were still using his system long after he got fed up with the company and quit.
When was the last time you'd been? I think things move a lot faster since they developed their FastPass system, but that could just be my sucker-for-good-marketing side speaking.
Wow, the Dans costumes have changed a lot. Not sure how I feel about the new colors. Having written that, I must admit that the Teal Dan looks familiar, and adorable, all at the same time.
Oh, and BTW, the photos further down of the submarines was intriguing.
The new costumes are actually the old costumes. They were first rolled out around 1972, and were used until the look changed to reflect the "townsfolk" theme that was adopted in the early 90's. The look has always been thus in Florida (with two exceptions, rather than 5 main colors [red, blue/teal, purple, and green or yellow] they have a different color for each individual performer, and their spats are the color of the costume, rather than white) and the look was ressurected for the 50th celebration here when that kicked of flast year.
You probably recognize the teal one from a show that you illuminated - he works in Musical Theatre all over the place in SoCal.
Yeah, I an't wait to see what they do with the subs - it was the first thing I was ever trained on at the park!

I'm a big fan of making one or two massive Goodwill runs, and then taking everything else to the dump or calling a haulage service. Unless you've actively been pining for individual items over the last few years, it sounds like there's too much stuff there to actually appreciate much less keep. Do you really have the space and the time to eBay everything, with all the shipping and customer-kvetching that entails?
Then again, although I nearly paralyzed by sentimentality at times, I lost most of my stuff when I left my ex-h and lost 2/3 of what remained when I got evicted after my mother died. Stuff just doesn't mean as much to me as it used to - it's not little bits of *me* anymore, but just things - and I get kind of claustrophobic thinking about large quantities of it concentrated in one place, waiting for me to deal with it somehow.

I definitely feel the apprehension of dealing with this stuff. It definitely needs to be sorted before I toss it out though, since I've never been the best at organizing, chances are I'll miss something I'll want to hold on to... like my Fraternity pin, for example, the location of which I can place to one storage unit, but who knows which box.
I'll most likely do massive goodwill runs, and only ebay the few things that might go for a decent chunk of change... like out-of-print gaming supplies and such.

And so that some random Team Töntäun doesn't get to piggyback on your hard-thought advantage?
