Summary: Leo and Jed are both the children of cowards. Bartlet's relationship with Leo, his father and Mrs. Landingham. Set pre-series and during Two Cathedrals.

From another first-time TWW fic writer, I wanted to say that I loved this. I'm watching the series for the first time right now and I've fallen in love with all of the characters, and your Jed and your Leo are wonderfully in-character. The backstory you've expanded on is fascinating as well.

This really is lovely. I like the way you labelled Mrs. Landingham's comment about being a boy king as a gift that shapes him. You have a fine sense of detail, and a poetic turn of phrase. That being said "barfing" seems out of place...a slang word when the rest of your vocabulary is sophisticated. I'd suggest "vomiting" as an alternative. The whole piece is really very beautiful and layered.
