I would just like to wish anyone who has happened upon this journal a very Happy Christmas! I love this holiday, and as I can no longer sleep, I am cooking a huge breakfast and baking pies to surprise my dear wife with when she wakes

Thank you. I've had a wonderful holiday season, and I hope you've had one as well. I convinced my wife to take a holiday from work, hence I've also been gone these past two weeks. It was so pleasant to spend that quality time with my dear spouse.

Christmas is the only time of year that you can get away with being sappy.

Not that your sappiness is bad. On the contrary, it's refreshing!

I hope you've had a pleasant holiday season as well. I was able to convince my dear long-suffering wife to take an extended holiday, and she did. I've been offline these past few weeks spending quality time with her.
